Chad Steele

FOUNDER

Chad is the founder of Evergreen Legacy Partners, where he brings more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience to helping families manage the financial, administrative, and organizational responsibilities that accompany thoughtful legacy planning.

A graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Accounting, Chad later earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Colorado. Throughout his career, he has held accounting and finance roles across a variety of businesses and industries. Most recently, Chad worked at Amazon, where he served as a Worldwide Controller overseeing businesses including Audible, Amazon Game Studios, Twitch, and others.

After years of applying his experience within large organizations, a personal experience changed the direction Chad wanted to take his career. Following the sudden loss of his father-in-law, he became closely involved in helping his family navigate the accounting, financial, administrative, and planning responsibilities that followed. That experience ultimately inspired Evergreen Legacy Partners and a desire to use his background in a more personal way—helping families bring clarity and organization to their financial lives while thoughtfully stewarding what they have built for the generations that follow.

Chad was born in Fresno, California and grew up in the greater Seattle area. He and his wife, whom he married in 2010, recently moved to Bellingham, Washington with their two sons to be closer to family. Outside of work, Chad enjoys mountain biking, golf, camping, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
